When you regularly eat healthy fats as part of your diet instead of foods that contain sugars, it will help your body burn fat more efficiently. Once you make the shift from primarily burning carbs to burning fat, you can go longer without feeling hungry. In addition, fats act as carriers for the important fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K. Don’t be afraid of eating too much fat: ¼-½ avocado every day is allowed. Avocados are good for the heart and brain, and – because of their folic acid content – they are also very beneficial during pregnancy.
